LGS has been in the fore front of offering Cutting edge solutions in the Areas of Automatic Identification, Biometric Technology and specialized solutions using RFID.

As part of e-Governance Solutions offerings, LGS offers Biometric based Fingerprint Identifications, Smart Card / RFID based Identifications and authentication solutions.

As part of the e-Governance initiative of GoAP, to provide Ration to eligible BPL families in the State, LGS has been selected to execute a Pilot Project for AP Civil Supplies Department, to help identify the unauthorized ration cards, that were being used to draw ration, resulting in the benefits not reaching right beneficiaries and also causing a huge loss to Govt. Exchequer.

LGS has implemented Biometric based Identification system along with issue of a smart card, Linked to the ID number of the Beneficiary. This involves capturing of Biometric Impressions of all the 10 Fingers of Beneficiary and all the family members incorporate the same into a specially manufactured Poly Carbonate Smart Card and Handing over the same to the Beneficiary.

Every time the Beneficiary family wants to draw ration, they will visit the Fair Price shop, authenticate themselves by presenting their Biometric Impression along with the Smart Card. The Identity is then verified on-line with the data available on the Server and authenticated. Only upon positive authentication of the beneficiary, the ration is issued to the consumer.
